Key Responsibilities of the Governing Body
As a Voluntary Aided School with a delegated budget, the Governing Body at All Saints has a general responsibility for the conduct of the school with a view to promoting high standards of educational attainment within a caring catholic environment, whilst ensuring the safety and well-being of all its pupils. Some specific responsibilities are:
- Setting the school’s values, vision and strategic aims, agreeing aims and
objectives and setting school policies. - Monitoring and evaluating performance, acting as a critical friend to the Head
Teacher and Senior Leadership Team to support and challenge them in
managing the school. - Ensuring that the school is accountable to all those it seeks to serve – pupils and
parents, staff it employs, Diocese and Parishes and those who fund and maintain
it.
