Welcome messages from our Head Students Oliwia and Charlie

Dear students, potential students and parents of both- Welcome to All Saints!

Today I send this message as a deeply grateful and inspired Head Student, but if you had met me at the start of Year 12 or earlier, you would have seen a quiet observer who didn’t believe that they could have an actual impact. I believe that this is the true effect of All Saints achieved thanks to the exceptional attention to students, both their struggles and successes.

At All Saints you will be welcomed by the ‘Loving’, ‘Faithful’ and ‘United’ student community with an abundance of opportunities that enable you to excel in the areas of your interests. Whether it’s academic endeavours, clubs, enrichment, competitions or extracurriculars outside there are plenty of opportunities waiting for you

As a student, I stress about my deadlines, the same as you. I worry about my future and I also doubt myself when facing more and more complicated challenges like chairing Model United Nations, setting up the Debate Club or doing core maths exams- but I can tell you in all honesty of my heart that I am grateful for those chances to prove myself and for the support received from our amazing teachers, staff members and other students. As members of All Saints we can be sure to feel included, understood and encouraged to reach our potential and overcome past limitations

As a person who comes from not only outside All Saints, but also outside the UK, I know that the transition and drastic changes are difficult, but they grant us a fresh start and opportunity to metamorphosize into our best selves. All Saints is a unique place where the community of all faiths, nationalities and backgrounds forms a special environment that connects both tradition, legacy and pride as well as a dynamic, safe and inclusive place where everyone feels free to grow and express themselves. A place of welcome is the All Saints that I have come to know, and I would love you to experience that same sense of belonging that has benefitted me.

Thank you very much and I hope to see and support you in your journey in All Saints!

Oliwia

Welcome to the wonderful All Saints!

I am a relatively new addition to our school family, having joined in September 2024.  Since then, I have been made to feel immensely valued by staff and students alike. No two days are the same here at All Saints, and it is testament to the maturity and kindness of our pupils that we are able to offer such a wide range of exciting opportunities and subjects.

In addition to taking A-levels in English Language, English Literature, and Geography, I am privileged to be All Saints’ Head Student, as well as a member of several extracurricular activities including the school’s GIFT (Growing In Faith Together) Team and our successful Model United Nations. No matter whether you’re into sports, books, socialising, or all of the above, All Saints has something for you. This is a school where students take the initiative and develop independence, but most crucially, we have fun!

As a student with SEND, I have been taken aback by the thoroughly supportive and compassionate space to grow and learn that All Saints offers. Each member of All Saints’ school community is guided by the core Catholic values of ‘Faith’, ‘Love’, and ‘Unity’, which fosters an inclusive environment that caters to a diverse student population of all faiths and none. Events like our annual All Saints Day create lifelong memories and extend a real sense of community spirit.

The Student Leadership Team is comprised of friendly, caring individuals who seek to inspire others and make All Saints the most pupil-led it can possibly be. As Head Student, I am always available to guide others through difficult times and transitions, eager to build great relationships with other members of our school family. I spend time across both school sites.

I wish you the best for your journey at All Saints, and hopefully I’ll get to meet you!

Charlie

School council

The Student Council provides every student the opportunity to be heard, share ideas, and play an active role in shaping their school. Open to all students from Year 7 to Year 13, it brings together representatives from across year groups to raise important issues, suggest improvements, and work collaboratively with staff to drive meaningful change.

Meetings take place regularly each half-term, with whole-school meetings and dedicated lower and upper site meetings. Each focuses on a specific theme that is shared in advance so students can prepare and contribute their views. The Council is led by our Sixth Form Student Council Leader and deputies, who work closely with the school to ensure student feedback leads to real action.

In 2025 alone the student council has been the catalyst for changes in uniform, food options, behaviour and facility improvements. No suggestion is too small and every student voice is valued so come get involved!

Find out more about the different leadership roles here

At All Saints Sixth Form, we believe every student has the potential to become a leader of tomorrow. Our Student Leadership Programme provides a wide range of opportunities for students to take on meaningful roles that make a positive difference to the school community.

Our varied leadership positions include roles such as Sports Ambassadors, Reading Mentors, Social Justice Champions, Subject Mentors, Diploma Mentors, Communications Officers, ICT Technicians, Events Coordinators, as well as Subject Ambassadors. Each role enables students to develop valuable skills for the future and inspire other students.

Student Leaders are expected to demonstrate commitment, responsibility, and strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills. They act as role models, support school activities, and embody the ethos of the Sixth Form. By engaging in these positions, students gain confidence, motivation, and practical experience that are highly valued by universities and employers.

Ultimately, the programme allows students to leave a legacy at All Saints while building the qualities needed to thrive as leaders beyond school. Here’s a photo of the current leadership team – From left to right: Katie, Oliwia, Charlie and Luke
