The aim of our curriculum is to ensure that all of our students fulfil their potential and strive for excellence. By collectively nurturing the spiritual, moral, intellectual, social and physical growth of our students we encourage them to transform their lives.
This is achieved by placing Christ, the ultimate teacher, at the centre of all our relationships,
actions and decisions. The distinctive beliefs, teachings and values of the Roman Catholic Church are reflected in the construction and delivery of our curriculum.
Our school motto, āFides, Caritas, Unitasā encapsulates the values we hold ourselves accountable to through the delivery of our curriculum every day.
We aspire to be a community of worship where worldāclass education, driven by Gospel values, empowers all pupils and staff. We provide a curriculum that nurtures the formation of faith and education for life, one which attends to the spiritual, moral, academic, physical and social education of our students. On a daily basis our interaction with our students promotes and supports their faith journeys. We accompany them, we direct them and we correct them with compassion.
We recognise and celebrate that each individual is made in the image and likeness of God, teaching our students that all members of our community are accepted equally and unconditionally. Our curriculum aims to develop each individualās unique set of skills and interests. By creating independent, inquisitive and resilient students we are instilling a lifelong love of learning based on embedded knowledge and a desire to strive for personal excellence.
All members of our school community should feel that they are immersed in a secure environment where mutual challenge and support of one another exist in harmony. We uphold ambitious standards of achievement, behaviour and presentation for all. By creating an atmosphere of accountability where the individual is championed, our curriculum promotes a genuine awareness and understanding of personal responsibility and integrity. It is the duty of every stakeholder to ensure that our curriculum serves all of our students, particularly those who may be socially, emotionally, academically or physically disadvantaged.
To enable us to fulfil these aspirations our curriculum is broad, balanced and relevant. It also retains the flexibility required to meet the needs of each individual student as we prepare them for life as positive, active Christians who are equipped to contribute to Godās kingdom.
