All Saints Diploma

‘Making All Saints and the world around us a better place to be’

Is the All Saints Diploma open to all students in Years 7, 8 and 9?

  • Yes, the All Saints Diploma is fully inclusive so that all students in Years 7, 8 and 9 can make All Saints and the world around them a better place to be.

The All Saints Diploma can be achieved by exemplifying the behaviours and values in our school motto:

  • We show FAITH by being the best version of ourselves
  • We demonstrate LOVE by supporting and caring for others
  • We express our UNITY by working together to change the world for the better

Are there different levels for each year group?

Yes, as follows; Year 7 – Bronze (Discover) , Year 8 – Silver (Contribute) and Year 9 – Gold (Lead)

How do students achieve the Diploma?

  • Students need 3 recorded or ‘signed off’ examples of each of the following aspects within an academic year:

Learning

Personal Development

Contribution to society

How will students be able to get things ‘signed off’?

  • Progress is recorded using our school communication system. In addition, students can self-nominate or provide evidence of their progress during ‘Winning Wednesdays’. Each student has a dedicated All Saints Diploma sticker in their planner to record their progress. If students are busy during ‘Winning Wednesdays’ ie attending a sporting practice, they can speak with Mr Sandwell to find an alternative time.

How will achieving the All Saints Diploma be celebrated?

  • Students that achieve the All Saints Diploma will receive a certificate and badge at a celebratory Mass. Families are also invited to attend the Mass too.

Can a student achieve a Silver Level if they did not fully meet the criteria for the Bronze Level?

  • Yes, likewise a student can achieve a Gold Level the following year if they did not fully meet the criteria for the Silver Level. Students can proudly wear the badges that they achieved the previous year on their uniform.

How does the All Saints Diploma link into other ways that we celebrate progress and contributions?

  • The All Saints Diploma is at the heart of our focus on:

‘Every Moment Matters’

Making praise more visible

The work at Key Stages 4 and 5 eg the ‘Prom Passport’

The work at Key Stage 5 eg the Stella Maris Award
